The immigrant population in Marin needs legal assistance to obtain either a work permit or a pathway to citizenship. FACLC will initially focus on the following services. Depending on the number of clients, we will consider expanding to other types of immigration services.
Citizenship/Naturalization, Special immigrant Juvenile Status, Public Charge, Green Card, DACA renewals, Family-Based Immigration, Certificate of citizenship, Replace naturalization/citizenship certificate, Apply for travel document/re-entry permit, Adjust status, Petition to remove condition on residence, Employment authorization card, Replace/renew green card.
There are currently 10,000 to 12,000 Marin residents who are eligible for naturalization. FACLC would like to assist those and others with immigration needs. FACLC is a member of the Marin New Americans Campaign hosting citizenship workshops. The next workshop is in 2019. If you are a Lawful Permanent Resident and believe you qualify for citizenship, come to our Wednesday Drop-in Immigration Clinic today.
The Immigration Legal Services Program provides services for low income immigrants by appointment only. All new potential clients must obtain a consultation to assess their immigration options which are held Wednesdays at 9:00am or 1:00pm, on a first come, first served basis. The initial consultation is $40 for 30 minutes.
