  • Bill Berry


    Professional Background
    Bill brings over 25 years of legal experience to the Family & Children’s Law Center and its Board of Directors. He has spent more than a decade as a litigator at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, followed by senior in-house leadership roles at Tesla, Google, and Verkada.

    Currently, Bill serves as General Counsel at Verkada, where he leads the company’s legal function and advises executive leadership on legal and policy matters. Previously, he led Tesla’s 140-person global legal department, reporting directly to the CEO, and oversaw general litigation at Google. Bill began his legal career as a patent attorney at Knobbe Martens. He earned his JD and MBA from the University of Virginia after serving four years in the U.S. Navy.

    Connection to FACLC
    Bill first became involved with FACLC as a pro bono attorney, helping secure restraining orders and other protections for families in crisis. Inspired by the Center’s mission and impact, he joined the Board of Directors while continuing to offer pro bono legal support.

    Personal Note
    Bill and his family live in southern Marin County, and he is proud to support an organization that plays a critical role in protecting and serving local families.

  • Marc Schreiber


    Professional Background
    Marc brings a background in business, finance, and legal services to the Family & Children’s Law Center Board of Directors. A later-in-life graduate of Golden Gate University, Marc earned his Bachelor of Science in Business after beginning his career in banking. He later transitioned into the legal industry, where he now works in legal services with a focus on operations, sales, and technology-enabled solutions.

    Marc has extensive experience helping organizations modernize workflows, improve service delivery, and operate more efficiently, particularly in resource constrained environments.

    Connection to FACLC
    Marc began volunteering with FACLC during the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting the organization’s rapid shift to digital operations during a critical period of disruption. Through this work, he developed a deep appreciation for FACLC’s mission and the essential services it provides to families in crisis. He later joined the Board of Directors to continue supporting the organization’s growth, sustainability, and impact.

    Personal Note
    Marc lives in San Francisco and grew up in Colorado in a family that emphasized service, including long-standing support for Meals on Wheels and Jewish Family Services. That foundation instilled a lifelong commitment to giving back, which he continues through his board service with FACLC.
